zeus, never have i been so involved!

so the team is now deciding whether or not they want to accept the spot that has been given to them to go to Worlds. it would appear that there are some really key ppl to the team that cannot go. which poses a bit of a dilemma...

to go to Worlds you want to have the experience, skill and desire to win. makes sense. so with these key ppl not going, it's made the ppl who were on the fence - bail - because these same ppl are also a lot of fun too!!

we are also scrambling for players to make up the numbers. short on having enough women too - no shocker there.

so, do you go just for the experience of it all - blood, sweat and tears of training - to go, travel all that way, to potentially get your asses kicked game in and game out?

hmmm ... i'd rather play a bunch of other tournaments with these key, experienced (and did i mention fun?) ppl in places like Italy and the Canary Islands instead. then i can take the time to travel to australia on my own. besides, how much of the city do you really get to see when you are playing in a tournament?

the bonus to that plan is that i won't have to take on the task of trying to help raise 25K GBP for the team to get to World's.

that's-a-one-big-task!
